This is a Specter & Ashe handmade framed wall tapestry created using the Hooked Hazel pattern for the Aleida Loop Rug and adjusting it a little so it would work as an abbreviated wall tapestry. Denim blue single crocheted background with off white arrows created in a loop stitch. I crocheted the tapestry first and then attached it to the wooden frame. Frame is made of Hemlock and stained in a dark shade. There is no hanging hardware on the frame itself, in the photos, it is just simply hung on a nail from the wooden frame.
Handmade items are made slowly and carefully one project and a time. They are not produced by machinery, and although we work hard to ensure each piece is as perfect as possible, there is a potential for organic flaws to occur from our processes. We feel that these flaws add personality and uniqueness to our pieces. Please do not purchase if you averse to maker flaws.
Tips for caring for your fiber art: • After shipment your fiber art may be a little smashed from the journey home. You may gently fluff and adjust the stitches to liven the fibers back up. • Do not pull on the fibers, loops, and stiches of your fiber art. This could cause inadvertent loosening or removal of carefully places stitches. • Do not wash your fiber art. If your art collects dust then you can gently bat the backside of your piece with your hand in order to remove any dusts that have collected. • We do not recommend hanging fiber art in a kitchen space near the cooking center. Kitchen environments tend to produce a lot of airborne greases that can end up on the surface of your fiber art and they cannot be removed.
