This hand knotted vintage Zaidan rug is distressed, incredibly stunning and approximately 40 years old. The Zaidan rug patterning is extremely distinct and so incredibly beautiful. The way the geometric design moves across this rug is almost other worldly. Zaidan designs are my favorite in the world of vintage rug designs. They are so unique and eye catching in ways that other rug designs are just not. This large runner would be a stunning accent for a long walkway or an extra wide hallway. This would also look amazing at the foot of a bed in a master ensuite. This rug is well distressed and has a worn colorway likely due to many years spent in a sunny location. The color has worn in such a lovely way however, that it has resulted in a strikingly vintage ombre vibe. This runner has a low pile and shows signs of wear and past repair throughout. Please play close attention to the listing photo where I have visually documented the types of marks you will encounter once you bring this rug home.

VINTAGE RUGS Vintage rugs are an amazing way to bring personality and beautiful color into your space. Hand knotted rugs are extremely durable and long lasting. Here are a couple good informational gems as well as some tips and tricks to prolong the life span of your vintage rug. • Vintage rugs are aged and worn items and not in perfect condition. There could be variations in the rugs coloring and pile across the surface due to dye inconsistencies, previous sun damage or surface wear. We do our best to provide a photographic description as well as a written description of the rug surface. If you have any questions prior to checkout, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. • Hand knotted vintage rugs are made by hand which means they are subject to variation in size and finish. Each rug is unique and the measurements of your rug will not be perfectly exact on any side. • It’s a good idea to vacuum your run every 1 to 2 months (depending on whether the rug is placed in a high traffic area). When vacuuming, we recommend utilizing the suction hose as opposed to the rotary feature on your vacuum to ensure you don’t overwork the rug fibers. Overtime, this could lead to premature wear. About 4 to 6 times a year, you can flip the rug over and vacuum the bottom in order to clear out deep settled dusts and particles. • Every 3 to 5 years you can have your vintage rug professionally cleaned. We do not recommend taking your rug to the dry cleaner. Dry cleaning services tend to use chemicals that are not good for the natural fibers and dyes that hand knotted rugs are created from. • Clean up any spills immediately. Blot dry as much as possible and set out to dry. For rugs that have a high pile, allowing liquids to set without drying them out fully can lead to mold and rot. Overdyed rugs may bleed to the surface undeath if a spill is not tended to right away. • We do recommend rug pads for all vintage rugs that are utilized over flooring other than carpet. This ensures your rug stays securely in place and will also keep the rug fibers from getting overworked and pulled around which can also contribute to premature wear.
