This vintage 1930s cast iron pedestal riser is a pretty incredible piece and was designed by Robert Emig. The ornate scene depicts four Greek mythological figures. Vintage risers are an excellent way to level up a personal space and this piece has so much functional potential within the home, studio or office. You could use this riser as a plant stand, crystal display, candle plate, or even as a fruit bowl. This would look absolutely beautiful in a kitchen to store fruits and/or vegetables. The cast iron is in really incredible shape and the detail in the ornate relief is pretty unreal. I have ran into a few of these in varying conditions and this particular piece is in particularly great shape for it's age and is fully intact. There is slight evidence of rust and patina along the surface is some spots, but it would be very easy to clean off if you chose to do so.
