Vintage Handwoven Moroccan Textile Rug, Throw, or Wall Tapestry

The source that we acquired this vintage textile from indicated that it was purchased in Morocco. The beautiful neutral tones, thoughtful design and handmade quality of this textile make this a really incredible piece. The fibers used to create this piece have a natural feel to them and this textile has great weight to it. It could be used as a rug, displayed on a blanket ladder (as shown in the listing photos), or folded over the back of a couch or accent chair. One of the ends of this textile is fringed while the other side has a finished edge, making this perfect to display, tapestry style, hanging on a wall. Hanging hardware is not included with this listing, but there are many options on the market that could be used if hanging is your display preference. This textile is in beautiful condition with wear consistent with its handmade nature and age. There are snags and raised fibers in multiple locations, but no fabric runs or holes anywhere. The measurements taken indicate slightly different widths across the textile on the fringe side and the finished side (see measurements below) and this is typical for handwoven textiles. Handwoven textiles are always loaded with character and this piece is no exception. The textile you will receive will have wrinkles from folding and shipment. Lightly steaming this piece (if you choose to display flat as a rug or tapestry) will help to drop the wrinkles.

Once you remove an item's traces of age and patina it's not something you can reverse, so we leave those activities up to the buyer. SHIPPING
As much as possible, we utilize recycled shipping boxes. The box you receive your item in may show signs of wear and pre-use.

All photos are taken in natural light and we do not use any photo filters and do not perform and photo editing (other than basic photo cropping). Depending on your monitor settings, there may be subtle differences in color once you see your item in person.
