This is a set of four vintage Art Lore Prints that are titled Trophies - Paintings on Glass and you will receive all four with the purchase of this listing. They are fine art baroque prints and look to be in the style of Jean-Charles De La Flosse who was born in Paris during the flowering of the Rococo style, and lived until the Neoclassical style. He was apprenticed in a sculptor’s workshop and went to work as an architect, engraver and ornemaniste. He produced numerous pattern books and collections of prints, some of which were intended as designs for actual objects, whereas other were pure fantasies of ornamental choreography.

These iconology prints are largely reflective of ornamental choreography in the style of baroque trophies of the Louis XIV period. Each print depicts decorative compositions of artful clusters of objects and tools suspended over a smaller complementary helmet arrangement at the bottom. Each design looks to be centered around a specific iconology of artistry, pastoral, scholarly, and hunting. The iconography is up for interpretation with some being more obvious than others. All of these prints and the wood frames are in sturdy and excellent vintage condition with minor flaws and ware consistent with age. Would be perfect to incorporate into a larger gallery wall to add cohesion and balance across a large space or would be a perfect focal quartet for any wall.
