This is an absolutely stunning antique transferware ironstone bowl in incredibly beautiful condition. There are no chips, cracks or breaks anywhere on this bowl but there is minor staining (in the form of a few small spots of brown discoloration on the inside of the bowl) and crazing consistent with age. The floral pattern and scalloped edge is elegantly designed. The maker's mark indicating "FLORAL" FURNIVAL ENGLAND is dated to between 1890 and 1895. A stunning piece of Victorian Ironstone created by Furnival which was located at Elder Road, Cobridge, Staffordshire, England. We really can't say enough about how gorgeous this piece is and its condition is near perfect. The photos capture it beautifully, but it is even more stunning in person. This bowl could be used for serving, as a planter or display bowl (thinking rolled towels in a guest bathroom) or it could just be displayed as the beautiful art that it is.
