This is a really interesting set of two framed beach photographs taken at the Bering Sea in Nome, Alaska. You will receive both framed photos with the purchase of this listing. One of photos depicts a beached deceased whale and the other depicts a beachscape with a large piece of driftwood washed ashore. They are both in great vintage condition. Thin frames such as these at similar ages are usually quite flimsy having lost considerable stability over the years. However, these two particular frames are in still in very sturdy condition which speaks to their overall great quality. The photos look to be in similarly great condition. The back of the driftwood photo is inscribed with the location the photo was taken. The deceased whale photo has a slight blur in the photo when up close and a typed caption on the back describing the whale's discovery and it's uses to local Eskimo cultures. An excellent set for the vintage collector that treasures the unique and eclectic with a touch of macabre. These would make a great addition to a gallery wall and would also be perfect for display on a bookshelf or other shelving.
