Full of information and illustrations, this is Volume I of a larger nine volume set and focuses on Egypt, Chaldaea, Assyria, Media, Babylonia and Persia. This is a text that would have been distributed by subscription only and delivered directly to the recipient. Published by The Jones Brothers Publishing Company, Cincinnati, Ohio. This book is in heavily worn condition and looks as though it has been read, loved and referenced countless times over its lifetime. The binding a slightly loose but still in sturdy condition with minor splitting towards the top of the spine at the headband. The pages and illustrations are in great condition with no major signs of foxing and no missing pages from what we can tell.
