This is a really stunning framed print of a Doni Tondo which has been attributed to Michelangelo and is recognized as a High Renaissance work of art. High Renaissance art is an artistic style of the first half of the 16th century in western Europe (especially Rome and Florence) and is characterized by heroic centralized composition, technical mastery of drawing and conception, and a mature humanistic content. This stunning art print features a commissioned piece by Agnolo Doni to commemorate his marriage to Maddalena Strozzi. The second word in the name of the painting derives from the Italian word tondo for the round form. The print featured here is vintage and beautifully framed in wood. There is wear consistent with vintage age all across this piece but there are no major disclosures to note. Please see listing photos closely for best description of age. We absolutely love the renaissance vibes of this piece, and it would complement a gallery wall so perfectly. An eclectic and extremely well framed vintage piece of art for your personal collection.
