Vintage Large Pottery Bird Sculpture - Textured Eclectic Vintage Accent

This excellent ceramic specimen is a sculpture of a bird that is aged weathered and packed with excellent vintage character. We are not sure what kind of bird this is sculpted after, but it compares in shape to a dove. It's rather large in size and a perfect conversation piece for your personal space. Excellent texture and eclectic rustic character. This bird has no chips, cracks or breaks that we could find upon inspection however, when jostled around, you can hear a small ceramic piece is loose on the inside. The wooden round this bird is perched on does have a crack on one side (see listing photos) likely due to expansion and contraction over time. The dove is cream in color with some yellow coloring across the surface. We are not sure if this yellow coloring is due to staining with age or exposure, or whether it was added upon creation. Either way, we really like the subtle character it adds to the overall textured finish. A really excellent ceramic sculpture packed with personality that would be absolutely excellent on a bookshelf, mantel, open shelving or on perched on a buffet, sideboard or end table. It has a great weight to it. No makers marks or signatures. The perfect unique vintage accent for your space that could very well be a one-of-a-kind piece.

SHIPPING
As much as possible, we utilize recycled shipping boxes. The box you receive your item in may show signs of wear and pre-use.
