  • Details
This pitcher was made by W.H. Grindley & Co and the makers mark on this ironstone pitcher dates the manufacture of this particular pitcher to between 1891 and 1914. This transferware pitcher has a really beautiful starburst and botanical pattern with stunning details and design. There is so much detail and character packed into this little piece, and it would be perfect as a creamer for a tea service or would be excellent as a vase to hold garden blooms on a windowsill. This pitcher is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, breaks, or crazing. This pitcher is recognized as ironstone, but it's construction and texture are a little peculiar and more closely resembles that of antique milk glass.
