This is an antique carriage footstool that folds or easy storage. The kilim textile used to create this stool is absolutely stunning in its design and texture. We really love the deep moody and bold colors. The structure of the stool is made of cast iron making this a really sturdy little piece of furniture. This is the perfect riser for plants or anything else you would like to elevate within your space. The wool kilim textile pile is in healthy condition with some areas of wear (primarily where the kilim wraps around the frame). The kilim is lined with leather trim which is frayed at one spot along the top. The original makers tag can be found underneath the top level of the stool and reads: The New I.D. Seat made for the B.C. Reinertsen Co. MAT Oct 16th 1892.
